I have a ginormous week, and it is easy to slip into feelings of Overwhelm…

But this is what I know about overwhelm…

1. It is not me (‘I am overwhelmed’ is not true, you are you, experiencing and emotion that you labelled overwhelm).

2. Something or someone else outside of me isn’t giving me it

3. On some level I am choosing the emotion (and therefore can choose to feel it, move it, get the lesson from it, or sit in it).

4. Blame, Shame, Guilt and Anger like to hang out with overwhelm so good to keep an eye out for them

5. The antidote is being present and not buying into some made up concept of the future (because it will turn out completely different anyway).

6. The complementary antidote is trusting the process – trust it will all work out the way it’s meant to

7. Second last… stay in your own lane, you are not further ahead or behind where you have made up in you head that you are ‘meant’ to be. You are running your own journey, and you are perfectly placed for YOUR next step.

7. Lastly, just do the one thing (no one asked you to do all the things at once, just do one).

I know that many people are suffering through overwhelm and burn-out unnecessarily, so if this article has resonated with you, please share it so that others can learn from these mindset shifts too.

Hugs,

Tammy.
