Your Ideal Business Model Starts with Your Ideal Client

In a previous article, we talked a lot about how to identify your ideal client.

It’s important that you know who exactly your ideal audience is because it will help you to get a clear picture of:

  • How your ideal client wants to feel
  • The words they’re using in online searches
  • What they stand for and what is important in their lives

And when you know this about your clients you’ll be in a better position to be able to get a feel for what you can offer them that is outside the scope of one-on-one and face-to-face consults.

A Closer Look at the Ideal Business Model for Health Practitioners Pivoting to Online Offerings

When you’re looking at either moving away from or complementing face-to-face consultations with online solutions, then the ideal business model for you will comprise of 5 levels.

1: The Free Zone

When you’re in the Free Zone you’re focussing on delivering content that hits a lot more people but there is not much monetary value in this area.

This doesn’t make this zone any less important, in fact, it’s an area of your business model that you will need to invest in if you want to increase your Know, Like, and Trust Factor with your ideal clients.

The Know, Like, and Trust Factor in marketing refers to what your clients feel about you before they buy from you. When you can increase this factor, you’re likely going to make more conversions.

However, to increase this factor, you need to invest your time in the Free Zone of your business model.

In this zone, you’re going to:

  • Write blog posts that provide information on the topics your ideal client is searching about online
  • Release videos either as Facebook Lives or Instagram Stories to engage your audience
  • Upload more detailed YouTube videos on your website
  • Get interviewed on podcasts and share these with your networks
  • Write and offer free e-books either on your website or delivered through your email list

Essentially you’re going to consider other places and spaces that you’re doing things for free and you’re going to offer high value in these areas so that your ideal audience grows to know, like, and trust you more.

2: The Introductory Level

Then you’re going to move into the Introductory Level where your ideal client is looking to invest money on one of your offerings.

They’re not quite ready to sign up to one-on-one consultations but they want to be educated more about how to overcome their current health and wellbeing issues.

So you might offer them a paid e-book, a short challenge, or deliver a meal plan.

As a health practitioner, you create these offerings once and you sell them at a low cost BUT they really pack a punch and deliver rockstar solutions for your ideal client.

This way, you’re preparing your ideal client to enter the next part of your ideal business model.

3: The Basic Program

When it comes to health practitioners in the current climate of the worldwide pandemic, your Basic Program is essentially your existing one-on-one consultations, however, you offer them in an online environment.

So at this point, you’ve increased your Know, Like, and Trust Factor with your ideal audience, they’ve purchased a low cost/high-value offering from you, and now they’re ready to invest even more to receive tailored solutions to their health issues.

They’re ready to book in for an online 1-1 consultation.

The next two levels of your ideal business model are going to help you package up what you already deliver in your one-on-ones but offer them to a wider audience.

4: The Intermediate Program

When you step into the Intermediate Program you’re going to package up a journey for people that includes individual consultation and even more by way of educating your clients.

And it’s this education style stuff that makes online really fun because you can package up your knowledge and your understanding of the journey your clients go on to deliver a deep and insightful program.

A program that your clients can pay you every month to receive that represents a really great value exchange because you are always there for them.

And by packaging up a program that can be used by more than one client, you’re creating a recurrent income without charging out your time on an hourly basis.

5: The Advanced Program

The last level of the ideal business model is about creating an experience for your audience that goes above and beyond.

In our current climate, face-to-face retreats and VIP days may not be ideal, however there are many, many ways you can offer similar experiences, however online.

The absolute best thing about sitting in the Advanced Program level of your ideal business model is that the sky is the limit. All you need is some outside-of-the-box thinking and some innovation.
