Why I Love Running Immersions
I’ve just landed back in Australia after another epic retreat in Bali, filled with all the relaxation and joy that running immersions brings me. This retreat was a 5-day immersion for practitioners currently in the Natupreneur Journey and offers participants 5 full days to work on their business, themselves, and their future without interruption.
We also work in self-care, cultural and fun experiences – not to mention amazing food! – along the way to make the trip even more special and memorable for each and every one of the attendees.
5 Reasons Why I Love Natupreneur Immersions The Best
After running retreats for a number of years now there are 5 key reasons why I enjoy them, and why I keep running them each and every year for my mentees.
Those reasons are:
- connection
- immersion
- a-ha moments
- rejuvenation
- and purpose.
Let me explain why…
1. Connection
Being a practitioner, woman, mother, carer, cook, timekeeper, creator, juggler of jobs, and so many more things can be so incredibly rewarding… but also scary and lonely. Often the unique challenges we have of feeling for our clients, juggling business and home, as well as the caseload, can only really be understood by another praccie. But we rarely give ourselves time and space to connect to have those discussions, especially in real life, with real hugs and real tears.
When we stop and get a chance to connect with others just like us, in a safe space, it’s amazing just how much life and love we have time for. That’s one of the realisations that happen on retreat. It’s incredible to witness. I find that our immersions create deep bonds in just days. It is an entirely different experience than being online, I see friendships of a lifetime formed at these events.
2. Immersion
The immersive experience of another culture and time is not only transformational for the microbiome but also for every facet of life we don’t have time for at home.
Taking practitioners, women, mums, carers away from the day to day environment where they are known as those titles, allows space for truly being seen and heard as themselves. When you can show up as you, and not worry about anything else for days, real transformation takes place.
3. A-ha Moments
Getting out of the overwhelm and the ‘normality’ of home and day-to-day clinic work I find jiggles your perspective to create clarity where there was confusion. It provides a real chance to change the way that isn’t working anymore to create a different result.
Whilst on retreat, as the days progress, it’s absolutely amazing to hold space and witness the individuals have breakthroughs, realisations, and bursts of clarity.
4. Rejuvenation
Even the practitioners who think they are looking after themselves at home, come away from these immersions feeling a whole new level of rejuvenation. Having a safe space to feel feelings, be taken care of, be pampered, finally go to massage and yoga, not have to think about food, and be able to party and let off steam with friends is one of the most rewarding things I can give.
This side of the retreat enables the participants to go home feeling fresh, vibrant, and ready for the next step in their business.
5. Purpose
Cliche, I know. But I truly feel that running immersions and retreats is what I am here to do. I feel in total flow creating these immersions, planning the event and teachings, blowing peoples’ minds with the experiences, intentionally setting out a new journey, pampering attendees and holding the space. My intuition, knowledge and experience collide to bring just the right insights at just the right time for just the right people. It honestly feels like magic to me.
Attend an Immersion
Each year I host a number of immersive retreats, some in Australia and some in Bali. I host these immersions for my mastermind groups and for the beautiful peeps in the Natupreneur Journey.
